I am a PhiBrows Royal Artist, Phi Brows is a high quality microblading technique using the golden ratio to create perfect brows for your face!
Microblading involves using a small ‘micro blade’ made up of small pins that scratch pigment into the skin in hair strokes. We have one of the thinnest blades available! I also combine manual shading to blading to give sparse brows added depth!
PhiBrows uses only the BEST quality pigment which contains no heavy metals and providing skin quality, do not fade red, blue, or grey as many do! Microblading usually lasts 6- 18 months depending on skin type and post treatment aftercare.
During the process your new perfect brows will be drawn to shape using a special compass to mark out the perfect shape for your face dependent on your own unique facial structure, once agreed they will then be filled in using small hair likes strokes.
After your initial treatment you will also have a complimentary top up after 3-6 weeks – to get your finished brows perfect!
Before your treatment you will need to have a patch test. Treatment CAN NOT be done without this.
Microblading is held in one of my clinic days at my clinic in Bexley (South East London/Kent) OR Eastbourne

WHATS THE DIFFERENCE FROM MICROBLADING AND SHADING?
Phibrows Microblading is a manual hand held method of permanent cosmetics for your brows, which creates extremely fine natural looking hair strokes. Shading is a stippling effect that creates a powdered look and can be used to mimic make up or hair depth.
WHATS THE PROCESS?
Microblading is a 2-step treatment – the initial treatment which includes the shaping and then a touch-up 4-6 weeks after. ( You will also need a patch test at least 48 hours before)
The procedure will normally take about 2 hours, but please allow yourself up to 3 hours.
We begin by marking the faces golden ratio measurements and create a shape from this, drawn on with a special pencil. During this time I will ask the style you like and thickness etc, and you will have an opportunity to amend things with the shape you may want different.
We then discuss pigment shade, without input I always go to the natural brow hair colour by default. I then begin the first strokes of microblading using pigment, The pigment is bladed just below the epidermis and the most shallow part of the dermis, making extremely fine realistic hair strokes according to the natural hair growth direction. Anaesthetic is then applied and the strokes are then filled and any shading will be applied.
I will then go through your aftercare procedure.
A touch up is included 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment. Although rare, depending on how your skin takes to the pigment you may also need further touch ups priced at £50 each.
DOES IT HURT?
It feels a bit like a scratch. An anesthetic is used to numb the area after the initial hair strokes (around 10mins) are created. Since this treatment does not penetrate as deep as a traditional tattoo and doesn’t use a machine it is much more comfortable than other tattoo types. Some clients find it mildly uncomfortable while some find it easy.
WHATS THE HEALING PROCESS AND AFTERCARE?
Healing varies for each individual. It takes about 7-14 days for the epithelial crust to form and slough off, and about 30 days for the color to fully set in.
You will be given a wash routine and aftercare cream and explained how best to treat your brows. AFTERCARE IS 70% of the result so is extremely important. During this time there will be periods, length depending on individual healing when you can’t get them wet, or sweat or expose to direct sunlight.
The brows will lighten up in color as it heals. There is absolutely no downtime. The skin will have an opaque look to it, this is due to the tissue still healing. Once the new skin reaches the surface the beauty and clarity of the brow will show.
DO I HAVE TO HAVE A TOUCH UP?
Yes! Everyone heals differently and outcome will vary. Some areas may hold during the first session and will need to be refilled. Pigment color may also need to be adjusted.
HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
The treatment is considered as semi-permanent and will not wash off, however, they will fade over time and may need to be refreshed every year. They can last anywhere from 6 months to 2.5 years depending on the skin.
Frequency of touch-ups will depend on many factors including:
- Oiliness of skin
- Pigment colour used ( Lighter can fade faster by nature)
- Sun/ Sunbed exposure
- Excessive exfoliation and peels.
Please note Microblading is not suitable from everyone and that final results can’t be guaranteed as each skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates. You will be re-evaluated on how your skin has received the pigment at your touch-up appointment and any necessary changes will be made. Previously tattooed areas will generally always require additional appointments.
CAN I HAVE IT OVER OLD TATOO’S AND SEMI-PERMINANT MAKE UP?
I am very selective when working over tattoos. If you have had your eyebrows previously tattooed, we will need to see them before your appointment booking.
DOES I MATTER IF I HAVE HARDLY ANY or LOADS OF HAIR?
I work on brows that have no hair, to thick brows that need filling in. Only hair outside of the shape drawn will be removed!
If you no eyebrows at all, I will most likely add shading to make your brows more ‘3-D’
HOW LONG IS THE APPOINTMENT?
The appointment will run about 2 hours, please add an additional hour for shading.
WHO ISN’T SUITABLE FOR MICROBLADING?
• Pregnant, pregnant within the last 6 months/ Breastfeeding within 6 months
• History of Keloids or Hypertrophic scarring
• Diabetic (require doctor’s clearance)
• Chemotherapy (consult your doctor – 6 months after is usually okay )
• Viral infections and/or diseases
• Pacemaker or major heart problems
• Organ transplants
• Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
• Immune diseases & Thyroid issues
• Accutane in the past year
• Heart conditions, Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure, Poor general health.
• Any treatment, medication, or illness that compromises the immune system / healing would make you NOT a good candidate for micropigmentation procedures.
HOW DO THEY HEAL?
Your new brows will go through several phases during the healing cycle.
Be PATIENT during your 2 weeks healing process, your brows will change and appear different from day to day, this is NORMAL.
The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure. This is because the pigment is still seating on top of your skin and has not yet settled in completely. The colour of the pigment will soften gradually.
Around days 4-5 you will experience dry skin formation and your brows may look dry and flakey. DO NOT PICK your scabs, let them fall off naturally. If they come off prematurely, they will take with it pigment. Its also crucial not to wipe on aftercare cream or rub brows on the pillow during this time.
Your eyebrows will be the lightest tones during says 5-10 because the colour is absorbed in the deeper layers of the skin. Later skin cells push it back to the upper layers.
The durability of the pigments depends mostly on the skin type and life style, after care.
The final result will appear 4 weeks after second session, although in some cases further top ups are needed.
