I specialise in natural looking semi permanent make up, using many different techniques to create the perfect custom brow individual to each of my clients.
I offer Microblading, as a Royal PhiBrow Artist, (royal is a title given to Phi trained brow artists if they demonstrate a high level quality of work), Hyperrealism brows, Powder brows & combination brows.
All techniques include a consultation at the beginning of the appointment to discuss shape, colour, texture, technique & design to ensure we are create a brow exactly how you want them! They are then shaped and mapped on the face using a brow pencil & the golden ratio method to create perfect brows unique to your face, checked with a symmetry application and then shown to my clients to see if any tweaks are wanted. Once agreed by my clients they will then be filled & enhanced using the chosen method.
I use a small variety of pigments for powder, combo & hyperrealism brows depending on what’s appropriate for my clients, but mainly Phi pigments & almost always Phi pigments for Microblading. Phi pigments are exceptional quality pigments (so are the others too, but Phi is my favourite!) which, providing skin quality, do not fade red, blue, or green as many others do! I use thinest needles and microblades appropriate for each clients skin & hair type to create the finest strokes achievable.
After your initial treatment you will also have a complimentary top up after 3-10 weeks – to get your finished brows perfect!
All treatments must have a patch test prior to appointment, so please include information asked for when booking to provide this.
Please note after treatment a period of 10 days is required to not get the brows wet, in the sun, or be subject to sweat, make up or skin care (Make up & skin care can still be applied in the surrounding areas!)
Clients must also be advised they can not have caffeine, alcohol, recreational drugs or paracetamol/ibuprofen for 24 hours prior to any appointment.
There is several medical reasons why clients may not be able to get the brows treated, including pregnancy, breastfeeding or skin thinning medications. If you have any long standing medical conditions or medication, recent operations or antibiotics within 2 weeks of appointment or have been pregnant/breastfeeding within a 6 month period of the appointment please contact me before making a booking. Clients who are prone to keloid or hypertrophic scarring are not permitted to have the treatment.
If this is your first time having a brow treatment or you wish to switch treatments please choose from the ‘Initial brow treatments’ section. If you are unsure of which brow technique to choose, please use the guide below to help or book in the ‘help me decide!’ option (please note hyperrealism is not included in the help me decide option, as it requires nearly double the appointment time of other techniques!) Aternatively please contact me and I will guide you to the best technique for you and your desired outcome.
If you are booking a top up session 1-3 years on from the initial appointment please choose from the ‘Annual top up’ section of the booking system.

TYPES OF BROWS
MICROBLADING
Microblading involves using a small ‘micro blade’ made up of small pins that scratch pigment into the skin to create ’hair strokes’. We have the thinnest blades available!
Microblading usually lasts 12 – 24 months before needing a top up depending on skin type and post treatment aftercare. Its best on dry, normal or mildly oily skin types. Results can be temperamental on some melanin rich skin tones and very oily skin.
POWDER BROWS/OMBRE BROWS
Powder brows are like having powder or make up on the brow, semi permanently. I use a hand held digital machine to create tiny pixels or dots of colour which when built up, create a powder effect. Results usually last 1-3 years, before a colour boost is required. It is suitable for all skin types including oily skin. It’s very good for covering old spmu.
Ombré is a variation which moves from light at the front to much darker at the end.
HYPER REALISM BROWS / NANO BROWS
Hyper realism brows or nano brows are wispy hair strokes and small areas of shading if needed to create a fuller, fluffier 3D effect brow. They are done using a hand held digital machine. Results usually last 1-3 years, before a colour boost is required. This is ideal for anyone who wishes to achieve a super fluffy or extra real looking brows. It is also particularly suitable for older or thinner skin as it’s a very delicate technique. Please note appointment time for this technique is 3.5 hours & top up of 2 hours.
COMBINATION BROWS
Combination brows are a combo of both hairstrokes and powder effect. It can work in two ways. 1) hair strokes by microblading or machine at the front of the brow and graduating the shading/powder effect on the tail. 2) For clients with sparse areas or very little hair where Microblading alone isn’t enough to create and mimic the natural brow. In this case the powder or shading effect is used inbetween strokes to create more density where needed.
Results usually last 1-3 years, before a colour boost is required. It is suitable for most skin types however very oily skin can require extra top ups.

F.A Q
WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HAIR STROKES AND SHADING?
Microblading, Nano brows or hyper realism brows create natural hair like strokes, whilst shading or powder brows create a ’make up’ effect, similar to powder on the brows. Shading or powder effect can also be used in small amounts in microblading, nano or hyper realism brows to add depth.
WHATS THE PROCESS?
All inital appointments are a 2-step treatment – the initial treatment which includes the shaping and then a touch-up 3-10 weeks after. (You will also need a patch test at least 48 hours before, which is sent out when booking)
The procedure will normally take about 2 hours.
We begin by marking the faces golden ratio measurements and create a shape from this, drawn on with a special pencil. During this time I will ask the style you like and thickness etc, and you will have an opportunity to amend things with the shape you may want different.
We then discuss pigment shade, without input I always go to the natural brow hair colour by default. I then begin the first strokes of microblading using pigment, The pigment is applied just below the epidermis and the most shallow part of the dermis, making extremely fine realistic hair strokes according to the natural hair growth direction or powder effect dots depending on technique chosen.
I will then go through your aftercare procedure.
A top up is included after your initial treatment. Although rare, depending on how your skin takes to the pigment you may also need further touch ups at an additional price.
DOES IT HURT?
Microblading and machine methods feels a bit like a scratch or scratching the skin. A numbing method is used after the initial hair strokes/ powder dots (around 5-10mins) are created. Some clients find it mildly uncomfortable while some find it easy.
WHATS THE HEALING PROCESS AND AFTERCARE?
Healing varies for each individual. At first they are a little dark, then you will most likely experiment some dryness (we try and minimise scabbing with this process) It takes about 7-14 days for the dryness to come off, they then go a bit light or/and patchy, until the skin regenerates which usually takes around 30 days – then the colour will return and settle to the healed result.
You will be given a wash routine and aftercare cream and explained how best to treat your brows. Aftercare is 70% of the result so is extremely important. Directly after treatment and washes, there is a period of time of around 10-14 days depending on individual healing when you can’t get them wet, avoid sweat, no sunbathing unless brows are covered and no make up or skin care can be applied to them (It can still be applied around them)
The brows will be a bit dark and stark at first and lighten up in color as it heals. Redness and swelling is usually minimal and there is absolutely no downtime, many clients go to work straight after.
DO I HAVE TO HAVE A TOUCH UP?
Yes! Everyone heals differently and outcome will vary. It’s fairly usual after a first initial appointment to have small areas that need a little more work. Pigment color may also need to be adjusted.
HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
The treatment is considered as semi-permanent and will not wash off, however, they will fade over time and may need to be refreshed every year or two. They usually last anywhere from 1- 3 years depending on the skin, but on some skin some residual pigment may last much longer. Machine methods tend to last longer then microblading, as Microblading is more delicate.
Frequency of touch-ups will depend on many factors including:
- Oiliness of skin
- Medications
- Pigment colour used ( Lighter can fade faster by nature)
- Sun/ Sunbed exposure
- Excessive exfoliation and peels.
Please note Microblading or machine methods are not suitable from everyone and that final results can’t be guaranteed as each skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates. You will be re-evaluated on how your skin has received the pigment at your touch-up appointment and any necessary changes will be made. Previously tattooed areas will generally always require additional appointments.
CAN I HAVE IT OVER OLD TATOO’S AND SEMI-PERMANENT MAKE UP?
I am very selective when working over tattoos. If you have had your eyebrows previously tattooed and the colour is still very visible – I will need to see a picture of them before your appointment booking. For Microblading especially, I can only go over some existing tattoos depending on depth of colour and shape remaining. Machine methods are usually easier to cover old semi permanent make up.
DOES I MATTER IF I HAVE HARDLY ANY or LOADS OF HAIR?
I work on brows that have no hair, to thick brows that need filling in. Only hair outside of the shape drawn will be removed!
If you no eyebrows at all and want microblading or nano brows, I will most likely add shading to make your brows more ‘3-D’
HOW LONG IS THE APPOINTMENT?
The appointment will run about 2 hours for most tecniques or 3.5 hours for hyperrealism .
WHO ISN’T SUITABLE FOR MICROBLADING or SEMI PERMANENT BROWS?
• Pregnant people, pregnant within the last 6 months/ Breastfeeding within 6 months
• History of Keloids or Hypertrophic scarring
• Diabetic (require doctor’s clearance)
• Chemotherapy (consult your doctor – 6 months after is usually okay )
• Viral infections and/or diseases
• Epilepsy
• Pacemaker or major heart problems
• Organ transplants
• Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
• Immune diseases & Thyroid issues
• Accutane in the past year
• Heart conditions, Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure, Poor general health.
• Any treatment, medication, or illness that compromises the immune system / healing would make you NOT a good candidate for micropigmentation procedures.
HOW DO THEY HEAL?
Your new brows will go through several phases during the healing cycle.
Be patient during your 2 weeks healing process, your brows will change and appear different from day to day, this is normal.
The pigment will appear sharper and darker immediately after the procedure. This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of your skin and has not yet settled in completely. The colour of the pigment will soften gradually.
Around days 4-5 you will experience dry skin formation and your brows may look dry and flakey. DO NOT PICK your skin, let them fall off naturally. If they come off prematurely, they will take with it pigment. Its also crucial not to wipe on aftercare cream or rub brows on the pillow during this time.
Your eyebrows will be the lightest tones after the dryness has gone because the colour is absorbed in the deeper layers of the skin. Later skin cells push it back to the upper layers.
The durability of the pigments depends mostly on the skin type and lifestyle, health & after care.
The final result will appear 4 weeks after second session, although in some cases further top ups are needed.
I HAVE VERY OILY SKIN, CAN I HAVE THE TREATMENT?
Machine methods (ie, all but microblading) are recommended for oilier skins, as microblading is very delicate the oil can mean the pigment doesn’t retain very well in the skin.
